Discover Authentic Insights on Crafting Your Best Life in 2024 Welcome to my blog, where I explore the value of genuine human experiences in an age dominated by AI-generated content. Join me on a journey as I reflect on meaningful topics like place of residence, vocation, independence, comfort, mental models, happiness, and the balance between security and freedom. Since relocating from Germany in 2022, I’ve become increasingly aware of the choices shaping my life. This blog serves as a space for authentic, non-GPT-generated articles that encourage deeper thinking and immersive storytelling. Together, let’s navigate the complexities of life, challenge conventional ideas, and craft the lives we truly desire.

Welcome to my Blog. A blog in text form in 2024? That’s right—old school but still a way to put down thoughts, inspiration, and document and share memories. I’m consciously not calling it the best medium; I leave that for the reader to decide. You are getting 100% authentic, non-GPT-generated articles and content.

As this blog is being filled with life, this post serves as glue to piece together articles and make sense of them as a whole.

I believe in-person and near-person experiences will become increasingly valuable in the near future, as we see an increase of GPT-generated content everywhere. To speak for myself, I’m tired of reading dull articles without depth that summarize what’s already available on the internet. Humans are superior thinkers compared to generative language models; we can combine ideas with our experiences, culture, and surroundings. Therefore, I’m inspired to create new ways to combine text and video content in a unique form, making stories more immersive and valuable to consumers.

Since I packed my things in Germany and left for good in 2022, I have become more aware of the choices that are mine to make, and how they influence my life significantly. The multitude of aspects affecting quality of life can create paralysis. I am trying to unpack these aspects to the best of my abilities and am on a lifelong journey of learning about them. The list is long, but here is a selection of my favorite topics:

  • Place of residence: Is it enough to live in one place? Which place? How do you choose where to live? Are the people around you what makes a place?
  • Vocation: Is your job fulfilling? Is being free the ability to live out what you are uniquely good at?
  • Independence: What do you need to give up to be independent?
  • Comfort/Luxury: Is too much still good? What do you really need?
  • Mental models: Is how you frame your past the key to finding the best life anywhere? Are childhood experiences dictating our life’s path?
  • Happiness: Is happiness a creation of big corporations’ marketing campaigns? Happiness = Short-term, Satisfaction = Long-term? Reality - Expectation = Satisfaction?
  • Security vs. Freedom: Security = Scarcity + Need, Freedom = Abundance + Want?

Our lives adhere to entropy; the only constant is change. Living day to day without taking control of one’s life will inevitably lead to chaos. I intentionally chose the word “crafting” in this blog’s category “Crafting Your Best Life.” You hold the hammer to sculpt your life.*

Have you ever taken the time to write a list of the things you value and would like to have in your life? It takes considerable mental effort to create a comprehensive list. Some questions, especially those starting with Why, can be agonizing if they concern major aspects of your life. Why did you choose your job? Why do you live in this city and this apartment? Why do people even care and ask these questions? It can get quite uncomfortable! This doesn’t have to be the case, I decided. I want all aspects of my life that are important to me to be the way I want them to be—without having to explain myself.
